Having Fun

I haven't posted in a long time so I need to catch up a little bit. The next few posts are some of the things that we have been doing lately. My mom has been asking for new pictures of the kids and so yesterday I pulled out the camera and we had a little fun.

Megan kept taking silly pictures. I had a hard time getting a normal one from her.

Tyler has been reading a lot of Calvin and Hobbes comics lately and this is his impression of Calvin. He is so silly.

Sun Valley

Graydon's family had their annual family reunion recently and it was in Sun Valley Idaho. We had a great time. The weather was perfect, in the 70's, and the landscape was beautiful. We went swimming, hiking, bike riding, and ice skating. The kids had a great time with their cousins and we had a great time seeing all of the family.

There was a little stream outside of or room and the kids had a great time jumping across it.

On our bike ride we stopped by the river to have lunch. It was a nice shady spot by the water.

Great Grandma Jenee played her violin while the kids danced for money or cookies. They had out two hats, you could choose what you wanted to give them, they preferred the money.

Megan had a good time ice skating and her Aunt Mekenzie was kind enough to skate with her since I thought it wasn't a good idea for me to be on the ice.

I'm quite sure what this pose is, but I thought it was cute.

Salmon Idaho

We went with Graydon to Salmon Idaho in June. It was so beautiful there. The kids had fun throwing rocks into the river and we spent time just taking a walk and enjoying the view. We swam in the pool, well they swam in the pool(the heater was broken and it was like 60 degrees,brrr.) and went to the local library. It was a great little mini vacation.

Meg's Haircut

Megan had wanted her hair cut for a while but she would not let me cut it. Last year I cut it and it is so thick that I had a really hard time getting it straight. I took so long Megan wouldn't let me cut it again. I am cheap, so I wouldn't let her get her haircut without a coupon, so we waited and waited. She got it cut way shorter than I planned but I think it looks really cute. She loves it.

The Capital Classic

Megan and Tyler ran in the Capital Classic in June. They close down Capital Blvd. and the kids get to run a mile down the street and finish at the Capital. It was drizzling that day, but the kids didn't care. They had a great time and were excited to get all of the freebees at the end. It was a fun day.
