New Glasses

Well it is official...four out of the five of us have glasses. Megan was so excited when the eye doctor told her that she needed glasses, she couldn't wait for them to be ready. So without further ado...

Picture Palooza

Okay so it has been FOREVER since I updated the blog and I have taken a lot of pictures since then so her is an effort to catch up and tell everyone what is going on with us...

I never got around to posting these but these are Caitlyn's 1 year pictures. It is really hard to get a toddler to sit still so I didn't get a whole lot of pictures but I love this one.

My hats are off to professional photographers, it is hard to get three kids to look at the camera at the same time. I thought this picture was cute, though.

When we got our first snowfall we took the kids to the park to go sledding. It was so much fun. Caitlyn wasn't a huge fan. She sat on our laps looking bored.

Spent.

This girl never looks at the camera! I am forced to be the annoying mom that goes, "Caitlyn, Caitlyn, Caitlyn, look at mommy." She finally gets tired of it and looks at me, I will pevail!

We went to San Diego for Christmas and enjoyed the warmer weather. Caitlyn would not leave the Christmas tree alone. She pulled the one at home over TWICE!

Mr. Cool Man

One of these days we will get Megan to smile her "normal" smile. She is so funny in front of the camera. She always has this look like, "I'll smile if it will get you off my back!"

Caitlyn enjoyed the super long hallway at my mom's house. She ran up and down, up and down.

More crazy fun in the snow. The kids love making snow forts and snowmen.

Caitlyn was really quiet while I was working one day and I came to check on her and this is what I found, her shirt should say "mischievous monkey".

Tyler got an award at school for getting straight A's. We were very proud of him!

I love when Megan gets ecstatic because I give her a funky hairstyle. It was Dr. Suess week and you were supposed to dress up like your favorite character. I found out the day before so I did her hair and put some blush on and said she was Cindy Lou Who. Two years in a row, but who's counting...

Caitlyn is trying to learn to use a fork(when I can get her to eat, that is). This is her first attempt, she actually got the pear on the fork and in her mouth. I was impressed.

She was impressed too.

So that is it, I hope everyone is doing well. We are just hangin on right now and waiting for winter to be over so that we can enjoy the outdoors again. Love you all!

Trick or Treat

I am trying to catch up since I didn't post a lot in October. The next few posts are about what we've been up too... Man we had a busy week before Halloween. We went to a costume party the week before Halloween and had a great time. I made witches broomsticks, candy corn pizza, and bone breadsticks for that party. We made some great Halloween lanterns a few days before Halloween and have been enjoying lighting them each night. Then the day before Halloween we went to the Trunk or Treat at church. The kids invited some friends and they had a blast! We didn't go trick or treating on Halloween so we stayed home and had a spooky dinner and watched Harry Potter. I think we had more fun than when we went trick or treating!

Caitlyn turns 1

Boy has this year flown by! I can't believe our little Caitlyn is 1! It took Graydon and I a long time to decide if we were going to have more kids and I am soooo glad we did! Miss Caitlyn is such a fun baby. Tyler and Megan adore her and she brings a smile to everyone's face. She got a lot of fun toys for her birthday and I am happy to say she loves them and can be engrossed for a long time while playing with them. Hallelujah! She is getting closer to walking and is always moving around (it is really hard to get a good picture of her, she is always moving!) and I can tell she wants to be with the big kids when they are outside playing. She will sit at the front window and yell at them and it sounds like she is trying to get their attention ;) We have been trying to teach her how to give "love". When we are holding her we say, "Can I have love?" and, if she feels like it, she will put her head on our chest so we can hug her. She is not a cuddly baby, if she cuddled with you she would miss things that were going on around her. :) Happy Birthday Miss Caitlyn, we love you!!!

Tyler and Megan were more excited about everything than she was, and they had already seen all of the presents!

Harvest Festival

We went to a Harvest Festival at a local nursery a couple of weeks ago and had a great time. There was a hay ride, animals, games, pumpkins, and it was all free!! The kids had a great time. I love all the family friendly things you can do in Boise and so many of them are free. What a great fall activity!
